Shelby Ragan is a first-year PhD student in English Studies with a concentration in Children’s and Young Adult Literature at Illinois State University. Her research interests include constructions of gender, constructions of morality, and the ways the constructions of each of these intersects with and informs the other. She has previously presented at the Children’s Literature Association Conference, and she teaches Freshman and Advanced Composition.
