After graduating cum laude with a degree in biology, Heather returned to her first love of books, and now works in a military library near NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, where she gets to buy books for kids and teens. This setting gave her the inspiration for her YA novel, DARE MIGHTY THINGS, about a teen genius (and NASA intern) who is chosen to compete for a spot on a experimental mission into space, coming Fall 2017 from HarperTeen.
