A roundtable discussion about the ways fandom pushes boundaries, analysing if anything is or ever should be taboo and exploring fandom kink memes, kink-focused communities past and present, the history of darkfic and kinkfic in HP fandom and the ways in which we can keep fandom free from censorship.  What do we need to know about the importance of content restriction free communities, and keeping fandom a safe space to explore fantasy and/or trauma, free of shame or self-censorship?  How do we encourage and create non-mainstream works?  Does the platform fandom operates on impact on the safety of the fandom space (e.g. Tumblr versus Livejournal)?  How (if at all) has the shift in the size of fandom had an impact on free speech in the fandom space? How have these genres changed (if at all) post canon-close?  Does a smaller fandom create a safer space for these kind of fanworks? Are there trends in the rise, fall and rise again of fanworks falling within these genres?  Are the popular HP fanworks on AO3 representative of the Livejournal communities interest in fanworks which push content boundaries? AGE RESTRICTION: 18 YEARS AND OLDER
